"Sho is Ugly"...me judging Jeff's gardening efforts
Paul Edmund takes the Helm!!!
The biopsy taken from near my liver looks nearly exactly like the earlier one. From appearance alone it is impossible to tell the type of cancer I might have. The doctors did additional tests to rule out other sources for the cancer like lung and GI tract. The few indicators they have seem to point to the ovaries as the source. Not much go go on but something. Therefore, Dr. Muldoon will start me on a standard combination therapy for ovarian cancer tomorrow. If you want a good overview of ovarian cancer and treatments you can access http://www.cnn.com/HEALTH/library/DS/00293.html.
Learning what I can, I gather my chances are still not very good and that the chemotherapy is likely to be a rough ride. My birthday, on 10 September, just 5 days after my first treatment is will be a real low especially since I know Jeff, my son, will be leaving just a day or so afterward. Janet left about 3 weeks ago and I was so sad to see her go.
Well, at least I will have made it to the glorious age of 78! The lake is still calm and peaceful, most day much better than bad and Paul Edmund will now be steadily and sturdily guiding me through the turbulance ahead.
