Just a very quick note here to let you know that my tumors seem to be melting away.
I returned from my visit to see Dr. Muldoon just now. I had repeat CT scans done last week of my chest and abdominal area which he compared to the same type done a few months ago.
It seems that my tumors in the upper part of my body have just melted away and the other lower down are much, much smaller. I think he was a bit blown away.
Other good news is that my son-in-law, Chip Wusthoff has had his surgery completed on his colon cancer. They were able to do it laparoscopically so the trauma was markedly reduced from the more standard surgical rip you open procedure.
The surgeon feels that the cancer may have been caught in situ ie in place without spread which would mean that, essentially, it is cured at this point. The definitive answer will only come after the biopsies of lymph nodes and other parts are fully evaluated.
Hoorah for Chip!
Paul and I will be leaving tomorrow on an enticing road trip to Northern Arkansan Ozarks with Shelby and Pod, our nephew. Everything is completely beautiful now in that sharp sky yellow gold red leaved sort of way. I can hardly wait.
Let us hope this wonderful trend continues!
On a Cloud,
Judy
My mother became ill in August 2008 with ovarian cancer. This is a story of the final months of an exceptional woman.

About Me
- Judith Marie Jones
- Vacherie, Louisiana, United States
- Born in rural Arkansas my tongue took up residence in my cheek shortly thereafter. I use it to speak "Genteel Southern Lady". Cussin' I only use when provoked by the Uppity. Paul, my husband, and I have lived in Cajun Country for many years raising cane, twins (a boy and a girl; now adults? definitely old) and other mischief. Alligators, water moccassins and bears have tussled with me as I protect our swampy coastal farmstead. We are stuck now on lovely Lake Hamilton near Hot Springs where we have our second home. We have been here waiting for Godot since my heart valves blew out Late November 2007 and now with cancer diagnosed August 2008. The Furies have me in their sights... I am writing this blog to let my Beloveds know how I am doing so they will not "get off" in imagined ways on my dire straits. The reality is bad enough without turning my story into a B-grade movie of the mind. I know all of you wish me the very best. And I miss you! never no mind your fevered imaginations. This is as close as I can get to a fond and loving chat with you right now... Sadly, Judy aka Mizflounce passed away peacefully early on Sunday morning May 30th 2009 age 78.

You made my day.
Keep up the good work.

Judy,
I am so thrilled to hear your wonderful news! I guess you need to keep drinking all that Jungle Juice you can get your hands on (I think I need some!)
I am so excited for you and happy to know you are feeling well enough to go on that road trip to enjoy the Ozarks. I will try to come up and see you very soon.
Lee and I have plans to go to San Francisco for Thanksgiving (already have the tickets. I will give Jeff a big hug for you since we will feasting with them.
I will call you when you are more awake in a week or 10 days after your next treatment Wednesday the 12th?
I love you and have been praying for you everyday!
Susan
Dear Aunt Judy,
That is such good news!
Mom told me that you were doing well but she didn't know just how well you were doing at the time.
Thanks for keeping us posted.
You are in my thoughts a lot.
Patti
Dear Judy,
I am so delighted to hear about your "great news". We will continue to have very positive thoughts about you & what's happening, trusting that you have good news next time too, and the next!
