Snuggles disappeared in a cloud of feathers and ecstatic yelping amidst Pod's beagles out back.

Shades of Pocohontas!!!
.
My Lima Bean Dressing (yep...the Lima's and dressing all squished together in my purse) were accepted. In addition we had asparagus, sweet potato pudding, wonderful fresh, homemade rolls and coconut pie. Pod sliced into the 83 pound pork loin with the biggest, sharpest quadruple bladed electric knife ever made and tossed big shiny hunks onto each of our plates.
.
The wildly scissoring electrified knife and gobbets of pork stimulated my appetite. Boy was it all good! Paul and I scarfed up plate after plate of steamy hot home cookin'!!
.
Yes, we do depend on the kindness of strangers here 'bouts....friends and relatives too!

**Pièce de résistance is a French term (circa 1839), translated into English literally as "piece of resistance", referring to the best part or feature of something (as in a meal), a showpiece, or highlight. It can be thought of as the portion of a creation which defies (i.e. "resists") orthodox or common conventions and practices, thereby making the whole of the creation unique and special. The phrase gives the sense that the referred-to element is the defining essence of the whole, that part that makes it memorable or gives it its unique character.
.
***confabulation noun: A plausible but imagined memory that fills in gaps in what is remembered.
