Just In! Fotos of Paul Edmund's Birthday

Some of you may know that Paul Edmund, my devoted husband, had a birthday recently. Yes, old PJ turned a wizened and profound 79 years on the second of January this year. Luckily, we had the children and grandchildren there in attendance along with a good friend and neighbor, Doak to prove this actually happened. Paul was so deeelited by it all he stood and scratched out a few rondos of his famous "funky chicken" dance (again, see yesterday's blog for more details). I was stunned by his fluid body poetry. Paul is, for me, the Mikhail Baryshnikov of love!

I just got my hands on a piccie or two from that Glorious Day which I would like to share now with you. Paul received two gifts....a scrumptious orange cake whipped up by the loving hands of his granddaughter, Ariel "Perfect Lips" Wusthoff (see yesterday's blog entry) and a sweatshirt from all of the chirrens. Queen Janita prepared her taste sensation lasagna to be eaten later for dinner.

Wild fun was had by all!

Ariel's birthday was the next day, 3 January but she had to leave. Something about a tryout for Hollywood. In Florida?! The production will be entititle "Girls gone Wild, They get Down!!" which is, I was told, the modern equivalent of the Gidget films of yore ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=noXKcm7t1Oc ). Ariel says her "perfect lips" will be her calling card; no study required. I did not hear if she landed the job but I know those dear cherubs had a day of fun and whimsy there on the Floridian Sands!

About Me

My photo
Vacherie, Louisiana, United States
Born in rural Arkansas my tongue took up residence in my cheek shortly thereafter. I use it to speak "Genteel Southern Lady". Cussin' I only use when provoked by the Uppity. Paul, my husband, and I have lived in Cajun Country for many years raising cane, twins (a boy and a girl; now adults? definitely old) and other mischief. Alligators, water moccassins and bears have tussled with me as I protect our swampy coastal farmstead. We are stuck now on lovely Lake Hamilton near Hot Springs where we have our second home. We have been here waiting for Godot since my heart valves blew out Late November 2007 and now with cancer diagnosed August 2008. The Furies have me in their sights... I am writing this blog to let my Beloveds know how I am doing so they will not "get off" in imagined ways on my dire straits. The reality is bad enough without turning my story into a B-grade movie of the mind. I know all of you wish me the very best. And I miss you! never no mind your fevered imaginations. This is as close as I can get to a fond and loving chat with you right now... Sadly, Judy aka Mizflounce passed away peacefully early on Sunday morning May 30th 2009 age 78.
